Teen arrested in connection with series of Caldwell vehicle burglaries

Following up on a tip from a resident in a Caldwell neighborhood Sunday morning, police located a man who they believe burglarized numerous vehicles.

The call about the burglaries came in just after 6 a.m. on Sunday in the area of Sunridge Drive and Joshua Court.

As officers arrived, the suspect fled the scene and ran into a field. Officers pursued the man on foot. They set up a perimeter and were able to apprehend him in the field.

The suspect was identified as Anthony Philley, an 18-year-old Canyon County man. He was booked into the Canyon County jail on charges of burglary, grand theft and resisting/obstructing police.

Detectives investigating identified a dozen burglary victims. Their property was returned.
