Hiker rescued in Boise Foothills

Crews with the Boise Fire Department and Ada County Paramedics located a hiker that experienced a medical problem Saturday evening.

Emergency dispatchers were contacted by a member of the man's family at 5:49 p.m. The caller said the hiker was in an unknown area somewhere near Highland Valley Road and Warm Springs Avenue in east Boise.

Details about the subject's medical condition was not immediately available.

Crews were working at 7 p.m. to remove the man from the area.
