They're all about to be bike lanes: The 28th annual Boise Twilight Criterium takes over Downtown on Saturday, so be prepared for the road closures: 9th Street between Jefferson and Grove will close at 11 a.m; 10th Street between Jefferson and Grove will close at 1 p.m.; and Bannock, Idaho, Main and Grove between 9th and 10th will close at 1. Streets will not reopen until approximately midnight, officials say. Click here for the course map and event schedule.

Full day of racing: Registration for the Kids' Ride with Kristin Armstrong, Boise's two-time Olympic gold medalist, will begin at 1 p.m. Armstrong will be signing autographs at that time, too. The ride will start at 2:30 p.m. Racing begins at 3:15 p.m.

It really heats up at night: The official opening ceremony is at 6:50 p.m., with the women's pro race at 7 and the men's pro race set to go off at 8:15. The awards ceremony is scheduled for 10 p.m.
