MOSCOW — Charley Molnar was named the Vandals' new receivers coach Wednesday. Molnar, 52, was the head coach at Massachusetts in 2012 and 2013, its first two seasons at the FBS level, going 2-22. He spent the 2006-11 seasons as an assistant under Brian Kelly at Central Michigan, Cincinnati and Notre Dame, where he was offensive coordinator for the Fighting Irish in 2010 and 2011.

In May, offensive line coach Jon Carvin left Idaho's staff. Offensive coordinator/receivers coach Kris Cinkovich took on offensive line coaching duties, allowing for the opening to be filled by Molnar with the receivers. Molnar will oversee a group that includes senior Dezmon Epps, who had 980 receiving yards last season.

"Getting Charley to join our staff was a home run for us," head coach Paul Petrino said in a statement.
