Boise State pole vaulter finishes in top 10 at U.S. junior nationals


EUGENE, Ore. - Allison Jeffries cleared 12 feet, 5.5 inches and tied for 10th at the USATF Junior Outdoor Championships on Sunday at Hayward Field. The freshman from Eagle High, the Broncos' indoor and outdoor school record holder, cleared the opening height on her third attempt but missed at 12-11.5. Texas Pole Vault's Desiree Freier won at 14-1.25.

BSU's Jordan Ward tied for ninth in the high jump (5-5) on Saturday at the meet for the top American competitors ages 14-19.
