It's chalk art time

Each year the Idaho Statesman Chalk Art Festival showcases professional artists in our community. You can watch them create alongside the more than 70 community artists this year on the sidewalks of Ann Morrison Park.


• Multimedia artist Karen Bubb and animator and illustrator Geoff Everts return for their fifth year.

• Cartoonist and illustrator Scott Pentzer and painter Chi Westin will make their debuts this year.

• Painter Melissa Chambers returns for her second year, and this is Boise artist Lauren T. Kistner's third year.

• Painter and multiple People's Choice winner Danielle Mierzwa will move to a featured artist slot this year.
