Boise Hawks Jesse Hodges blasts another homer in victory over Dust Devils

PASCO, Wash. - The Hawks (9-11) improved to 7-2 against Tri-City with an 8-3 win Wednesday night. Boise has outscored the Dust Devils 73-42 in the nine contests. Jesse Hodges continued his strong series with another home run, bringing his season total to four and tying him atop the Northwest League leaders with teammate Jeffrey Baez and former teammate Kyle Schwarber. After going 2-for-17 with one RBI in the first five-game series against Tri-City (8-12) in June, Hodges is 7-for-17 with nine RBIs and three homers in four games this series. Erick Leal, who coughed up 15 runs in just less than six innings of work in consecutive lost starts, regained his control - pitching six innings, striking out two and allowing five hits to earn the win.FOURTH OF JULY SOLD OUT: Boise announced the game against Eugene is sold out. Limited amounts of standing room only tickets are still available for $7. The Hawks average attendance for eight openings this season is 2,356. Memorial Stadium's capacity is 3,452.
