Letter: Bowe Bergdahl

July 1, 2014

Know-it-alls v. Bergdahl - Rushes to judgment. As anyone who's been in the service, especially those of us who have been in combat, knows, the military makes no mistakes. (Pause for groans and guffaws.) The telling article by Stephanie McCrummen of The Washington Post, including the courageous sharing of Bowe Bergdahl's journals by Kim Harrison, certainly indicates the complicity of those "First, do no harm" docs who twice gave thumbs up for Bowe's entry into service.

This article should silence even the forked tongue of Republican Sen. John McCain. Of course, it won't. So, it's way past time to set the record straight about the real Sen. John McCain. This has been done by journalist and past publisher/editor Sydney Schanberg, with pages of documentation titled "McCain and the POW Cover-up. How the 'War Hero' Buried Information About POWs Left Behind in Vietnam." Google Sydney Schanberg and be amazed. This will be an eye-opener to all, even recent Guest Opinion writer Mr. Moses.
