Update: Nampa man arrested after Caldwell Boulevard standoff

June 26, 2014

Trent Pooley

A 44-year-old Nampa man was arrested Thursday evening, and police said he is a fugitive who barricaded himself in a business on Caldwell Boulevard.

Trent Pooley, wanted by the Idaho Department of Correction for absconding from parole, was arrested around 5:30 p.m., Nampa police reported.

Correction agents received information that Pooley might be at a business in the 300 block of Caldwell Boulevard. Agents went there and directed Pooley to come outside, but he refused and barricaded himself inside. So Nampa police were called. Patrol officers called in the Nampa Special Operations Group, and Pooley surrendered after a short standoff. He was not armed and was arrested without incident, police said.

Pooley was transported to the Canyon County jail, where he awaits transfer to the Department of Correction, police said.
