Capital High loses state-winning baseball coach

STATESMAN STAFFJune 25, 2014

BOISE - Jerry Hollow, who led the Eagles to the 5A state championship in May, is no longer with the team, Capital High Athletic Director Steve Sosnowski confirmed to the Idaho Statesman on Tuesday.

Hollow resigned to spend time with family, Sosnowski said.

Hollow, who was hired at Capital before the 2003 season, helped the Eagles to a 19-6 record this past season, and was named the 5A Southern Idaho Conference's coach of the year.

Hollow did not immediately return a phone call from the Statesman.
