These are the foods you seek, you crave, you gotta have right now. The ones you can taste before you even order them, before you even leave the house to get them.

I want the Best Burger in the Treasure Valley. I want the Best Ice Cream. (OK, no one has got to have the Best Salad as this very moment, but stick with me.)

When you get that feeling, these are the places you beat a path toward because you know they’ll deliver just what you’re craving. You’ll be able to lean back, wipe your face and smile. Full. Satisfied.

Like after you’ve finished the Valley’s Best Burger at Five Guys Burger and Fries. The patties hit the grill when you come in the door, and the burger is garnished just the way you want with as many (or as few) toppings as you wish.

Or when you’ve polished off a bowl of the Best Fries at Boise Fry Company. The fries are definitely the stars at the restaurant’s four locations. The toughest choice is deciding which variety and which cut and which salts and dipping sauces. Go ahead and order that second bowl of fries.

Can’t you taste, from wherever it is that you’re reading this, the glazed perfection of a Krispy Kreme doughnut, voted Best Doughnut? Simple, yet delicious.

Can’t you smell your favorite pizza at Flying Pie, winner of Best Pizza for something like the zillionth time in a row? (Even if it’s not technically “your day,” it’s always your day to stop in for pizza.)

Picture the shelves of dessert options at the Valley’s Best Dessert joint, The Cheesecake Factory. With more types of cheesecake (caramel pecan turtle cheesecake, anyone?) than you can realistically consume in six months, there is something for everyone. That’s the other thing we love about our food favorites: They give us choices. Pick one of the 16 sandwich options at Cobby’s Sandwich Shops, winner of Best Sandwich. Or mix-and-match any combination of toppings at Cold Stone Creamery, winner of Best Ice Cream. And, yes, build your own super salad at Idaho Pizza Company, home of the Valley’s Best Salad.

The possibilities are endless. But one thing is certain: You’re happy. That craving is gone. Until the next time.
