Bicyclist struck near Emerald and Liberty streets in Boise

The bicyclist was headed west on Emerald Street at about 8:18 a.m. Thursday when a motorist turning left onto Liberty Street ran into him.

The cyclist was treated at the scene for an injured arm and scrapes.

The collision smashed the windshield of the car, but the driver was not injured, police said.

The driver was cited for failure to yield.
