Boise man arrested on child pornography charges

Bryan D. Smith, 28, was arrested Friday and taken to the Ada County Jail, where he was charged with nine counts of possession of child sexual exploitive material.

Boise police began investigating Smith, who also lists a residence in Federal Way, Wash., south of Seattle, in April. Investigators were assisted by the Seattle Police Department's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

A warrant was issued for Smith's arrest on May 29.

He was arraigned Friday in Ada County Court, with bond set at $100,000. He posted bond and as a condition of his release, Smith was ordered to not use any computers.

Smith is scheduled to return to court for a preliminary hearing June 30.
