The same folks who wanted to probe the women of Idaho have now spent taxpayer money to hire an "expert attorney" outside of the AG's office to get his opinion on taking ownership of 34 million acres of public land in Idaho. Not satisfied with the AG's expertise in dealing with the feds - the same AG office that does legal battle with the Federal Courts at all levels on a routine basis - Sen. Winder managed to wait until after this year's legislative session to spend taxpayer funds on a private attorney.
I'm not sure where he expects the funding to come from if those millions of acres were to be placed in the care of the state? Perhaps he has a plan to probe the recesses of Idaho's budget and find those funds.
