Letter: Closed primary

June 13, 2014

I am writing about the closed primary this year and the three ballots instead of one. Our nation fought a bloody Civil War so we would never be divided again. One nation, under God, and our nation has that beautiful flag that has flown over the land of the free. Any veteran home from a war will tell you how much it means to see our flag still flying.

Having three ballots instead of one just isn't right. Put all the names on one ballot and let the voters choose. That's our American way and no one, and I mean no one, has the right to change that. May God help us if we go down that road again.

I'm a Korean War veteran and a proud citizen of the United States of America.
