Kevin and Brenda 'Mee in the Morning' returns to FM airwaves

The Mees are back.

Husband-and-wife team Kevin and Brenda Mee, a Treasure Valley morning radio staple since 1998, were shown the door during a programming shakeup at Kissin’ 92.3 FM in early February.

But last week, they reappeared on 107.9 Lite FM. Their show runs from 5:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. weekdays. Former morning host Lisa Adams has moved to the 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. slot.

“It’s awesome to add them to our team,” says Kevin Godwin, regional vice president of station owner Townsquare Media. “They are a terrific morning show and just outstanding people. They are funny, kind and do a lot of work to help our community.

“The response has been unbelievable,” Godwin adds, “with hundreds of people reaching out on social media and calling the show and our office to say they are 'so happy' to have the Mees back on the air and have made the switch to 107.9 Lite FM.”
