Kristin Liane Rast, 43, admitted Thursday to one count of distributing a controlled substance during an appearance in federal court.
Rast sold a total of 356 Oxycontin pills to an undercover officer with the Meridian Police Department between June 2012 and August of that year.
Police became aware of Rast after detaining a dealer who told them that Rast was one of his or her suppliers. That person was not charged and cooperated in introducing the undercover officer to Rast, according to court records.
Detectives checked records maintained by the Idaho Board of Pharmacy and confirmed that Rast was selling Oxycontin, a pain reliever, prescribed to her, according to the court records.
Rast was originally charged with four counts of distributing a controlled substance, one for each of the four transactions made by the undercover officer. The remaining three counts are to be dismissed in exchange for her guilty plea.
Sentencing before U.S. District Judge Edward J. Lodge in scheduled for Aug. 25. She faces up to 20 years in prison.
