BOISE — Idaho will begin its 18th season of professional hockey — and 11th in the ECHL — with a game at the Utah Grizzlies, the league announced Wednesday. The two teams will swap locations for Idaho's home opener the following night — Saturday, Oct. 18 — at CenturyLink Arena. Among the highlights to the 36-game home schedule, Idaho will host a pair of post-Christmas games against the Ontario Reign on Dec. 26-27. The Steelheads play 14 of their 36 home games before Christmas, with 22 coming afterwards, including 11 over the final month of the season. The regular season concludes with a home contest against Utah on Wednesday, April 8.
