IDAHO CONTROLLED HUNT DEADLINE IS TODAY (JUNE 5)

ADA COUNTY, F&G TEAM UP FOR FREE FISHING EVENT

The second annual Fishing with the (Ada County) Commission is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 7, at Settlers Pond in Meridian. Fishing gear and expertise will be provided by Fish and Game. Those who register at the event do not need a fishing license.

RATTLESNAKE AVOIDANCE CLINIC JUNE 8 AT VETERANS PARK

Hunters and other dog owners can attend the 19th annual clinic from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, along with a trap-awareness seminar. Cost is $40 per dog for snake training. For details go to snakeavoidance.org, email hfunke3dk@gmail.com or call 463-2304.

CLOSURE AT HELLS CANYON DAM JUNE 9-12

The road over Hells Canyon Dam will be closed to traffic from 9:30 a.m. to noon and from 12:30–4:30 p.m. Heavy equipment will be on the dam while workers do spill-gate maintenance.

ARCHERY SHOOT JUNE 21-22 NEAR CAMBRIDGE

Indianhead Bowhunters will host the Gum Tree 3-D Archery Shoot with 40 life-like 3-D targets. Registration opens 8 a.m. both days. Camping is available. For information, call Craig or Barbara at 549-1063, or Jeremy at 739-3781; or go to idahoarchery.com/ihb.
