Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers will open this fall in Meridian, at the intersection of Eagle Road and Lanark Drive in Meridian.

The fast-food restaurant franchise will open four more locations in Idaho later this year, according to a press release.

Freddy's serves steak burgers, hot dogs, other entrees, shoestring fries and desserts made with frozen custard.

"Freddy's brings to life the America of the late 1940s and early 1950s, a post-war era of pride and values focusing on quality family time," franchise operator Brad Williams said in a press release.

The Freddy's location in Meridian plans to hire 60 people and is expected to open in September or October. Other stores are slated to open in Nampa, Caldwell, Idaho Falls and Pocatello later this year.
