Former player Tommy Smith lands spot on Boise State football staff

Former Boise State linebacker Tommy Smith has accepted a job as a defensive graduate assistant on the Broncos' coaching staff, he said Monday.

Smith replaces Kyle Ward, who left after spring ball for a high school job.

Smith finished third on the team with 61 tackles as a senior in 2012. He came to Boise State from Atlanta.
