Bronco Shop sales lead to $600K in Boise State scholarships

May 30, 2014

Boise State University will receive $600,000 from the school's bookstore for merit-based scholarships.

The bookstore and Bronco Shops, which sell Bronco merchandise, are the only retail outlets that turn proceeds directly back to the university for scholarships and other education support.

Money from the Boise State University Bookstore helps fund two scholarships:

-- The Presidential Scholarship, which provide recipients $5,000 a year for two years.

-- The Dean's Scholarship, which provides $3,000 a year for two years.

Bronco Shops are located in Boise, Meridian, Nampa, and Twin Falls. Boise State's bookstore receives no state appropriations or student fees.
