Vandals pole vaulter qualifies for NCAA finals

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Matt Sullivan cleared 17 feet, 3 inches to finish eighth at the West Region Preliminaries on Thursday and will advance to the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships from June 11-14 in Eugene, Ore. Andrey Levkiv finished 25th in the men's shot put (56-4.75), and Tayler Feinauer was 24th in the women's javelin (147-7).

LEWIS-CLARK STATE BASEBALL: The Warriors scored on a throwing error in the ninth inning, and second-seeded LCSC defeated Cumberland (Tenn.) 6-5 late Wednesday in the NAIA World Series at Harris Field in Lewiston. The Warriors (46-8) staved off elimination and were set to play third-seeded Oklahoma Wesleyan on Thursday. No details were available at press time. The winner will face Cumberland (48-20) in the championship game Friday. LCSC is seeking its 17th national championship.
