IDAHO F&G PLANS ONLINE CHAT THURSDAY, MAY 22

Anyone with questions about fishing in Idaho can get answers during the online chat from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at fishandgame.idaho.gov.

OUTDOOR YOUTH FAIR MAY 24 IN HOMEDALE

Ducks Unlimited is having a free Outdoor Youth Fair from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Snake River RV Resort in Homedale. Activities include boat safety, waterfowl identification and calling, learning to cast for young anglers, learning about bowfishing, birds of prey exhibits and a scavenger hunt. LEARN ABOUT MIDDLE FORK BOISE RIVER MAY 27

A free program on the Middle Fork of the Boise River will be given by Idaho City District Ranger Brant Petersen at 6 p.m. at the Garden City Library, 6015 Glenwood St. The Middle Fork flows from the Sawtooth Mountains through the Boise National Forest and has many historic and recreational areas with numerous campgrounds and trails. The program is sponsored by Idaho Rivers United.

OREGON SETS UP INVASIVE SPECIES CHECK STATIONS

A boat check station is being operated in Ontario at the Interstate 84 rest stop just after crossing the Snake River. Hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. All vehicles carrying motorized or non-motorized boats are required to stop. Additional information can be found by calling 590-1548.
