Idaho colleges roundup: Boise State wins three events at Mountain West track

LARAMIE, Wyo. — Junior Marisa Howard (women's 3,000 steeplechase, 10:50.28), senior Matt Post (men's hammer, 207-11) and senior Hayli Bozarth (women's hammer, 212-7) won titles Friday at the Mountain West Outdoor Track & Field Championships. San Diego State leads the women's race with 68.5 points going into Saturday, followed by Colorado State (52) and Boise State (32.5). Colorado State leads the men's race with 58 points; Boise State is fifth with 28.

IDAHO TRACK AND FIELD: The Vandals' men and women hold leads going into the final day of the WAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Orem, Utah. The women lead Utah Valley 74-56, and the men lead 84-67, also against Utah Valley.

LEWIS-CLARK STATE BASEBALL: The Warriors (43-7), hosting the NAIA World Series, are seeded No. 2 and will open the 10-team, double-elimination tournament against seventh-seeded San Diego Christian (42-18) or No. 10 Cumberland (44-19). The tournament starts Friday in Lewiston; LCSC plays its first game May 24. The tournament ends May 30.

COLLEGE OF IDAHO WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: The Coyotes have signed four players - Natasha Dacic (Boise High), Kilee Jafek (Rocky Mountain High) and junior college teammates Alicia Jones and Kellie Ross (Columbia Basin).
