Mountain West Bank to break ground on Meridian branch

Mountain West Bank announced it will begin construction on a new branch in the Village at Meridian on the corner of Eagle Road and Fairview Avenue.

The two-story, 11,500-square-foot branch will be built by Boise contractor Wright Brothers and designed by Boise design firm CTA. About 50 employees will open at the branch. Mountain West Bank has 22 branches in Idaho, eastern Washington and Northern Utah. The bank has two branches in Boise as well as branches in Meridian, Eagle and Ketchum.

The new branch is scheduled to open in early 2015.

The bank will host a groundbreaking ceremony at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 21. The public is welcome to attend to see speakers from the bank as well as Meridian Mayor Tammy DeWeerd and Meridian Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Anne Little Roberts, according to a release.
