Three Oregonians were arrested late Tuesday after Nampa police officers confiscated 6.5 pounds of marijuana and a pound of suspected psilocybin mushrooms following a traffic stop on Interstate 84.
A Nampa officer stopped a 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan at about 11:42 p.m. for traffic violations. The officer reported smelling marijuana after making contact with the occupants of the vehicle.
A Nampa police K-9 dog was called to the scene and the dog indicated the presence of drugs inside the vehicle, police said.
A large amount of cash, which police did not specify the total, was also seized, along with drug paraphernalia.
The drugs were valued at $42,000, police said.
Billie Bird, 60, from Cottage Grove and Skye-Ann K. Howard, 41, and Seth Shreefer, 43, both of Portland, were taken to the Canyon County Jail in Caldwell and charged with marijuana trafficking.
