Letter: Why Otter?

May 11, 2014

I don't know why Otter is running again for governor. He can't be proud of a state that ranks at the bottom in income, education, punishes whistleblowers of animal cruelty; OK with putting guns in the hands of potential nut jobs on our campuses; not providing Medicaid to our citizens in the ACA gap; having 25 percent of our children and one in six families in need of food assistance; allowing a religious group to refuse medical care for their sick children - all the while decrying big government in spite of our becoming a moocher state, taking in more money from the feds than we pay in taxes.

In the meantime we let the NRA, big business, big money and ALEC rule over our failing middle class and the ones trapped at the economic bottom.

Jesus said, "Inasmuch as you have done to the least of these, you have done it to me" Matt. 25:45 and Prov. 14:31 "He who oppresses the poor, reproaches his Maker." So, governor, do better or go home!
