Letter: Thanks for caring service

May 10, 2014

To the entire staff at West Valley Medical. I recently had the need for your emergency and ICU services. I would like to take this opportunity to give high praises and thanks to every person in every department I came in contact with. I did not have a single bad experience except for the reason I was there in the first place, which actually turned out to be life-threatening. They made me as comfortable as possible, took me in for emergency surgery, then kept me in ICU for 10 days. They were always there to make me comfortable, and help with pain management or anything else I needed. I certainly was not an ideal patient, as I do have a low pain threshold. I also accidentally pulled out my first pic-line. I constantly needed fresh ice, and argued with the fabulous physical therapy people every time they came in.

I was very fortunate to have caring, compassionate and knowledgeable people all around me. A few with a fabulous sense of humor even helped lighten the spirit and severity of the situation. Thank you all for everything you did. Treasure Valley, you do have options other than the big two.
