Boise police seek driver of pickup that plowed through 8th Street ornamentation

May 9, 2014

The grey Ford F250 pickup caused "considerable damage" early Friday morning, according to police.

The truck was southbound on 8th Street when it drifted west and hit multiple garden planters, trees, wrought-iron fences, bike racks and light poles. The driver then apparently parked the truck on top of a garden planter and bike rack, then fled the scene.

The driver did not attempt to contact police or the area's property management company, police say. The incident was reported at 3:27 a.m.; the truck was unoccupied and locked when police arrived.

Police say their investigation is continuing.
