Power restored in east Boise, Idaho City, Placerville

A power outage struck 1,325 customers of Idaho Power early Friday along Highway 21 to Idaho City and several remote areas.

A second outage had affected 21 customers along South Main Street and other locations in Mountain Home.

Electricity was restored by 8:30 a.m.

The larger disruption in service took place at about 3 a.m., according to Idaho Power. The cause is still being determined. Emergency crews are working to restore electricity.

Classes at Basin Elementary School, Idaho City Middle School and Idaho City High School have been canceled. The closure affects about 400 students.
