Letter: Supreme Court

May 7, 2014

Former U.S. Supreme Court Justice Stevens has proposed that the death penalty and the Second Amendment be essentially abolished. While we are at it, we could propose that the decisions of the U.S. Supreme Court be advisory, not supreme law of the land (as once was proposed). Then the Congress and the people could ignore their decisions. Wouldn't that put a chill in the court?
