Celebrate migratory day with F&G

Banding is one way biologists track the movements of migratory birds.

As part of International Migratory Bird Day, Fish and Game will be hosting an educational event for the entire family on Saturday, May 10 from 9:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the MK Nature Center at 600 S. Walnut St. in Boise. 

 

Participants can take part in live bird banding from 9 a.m. to noon. Live bird presentations will be given at 11 a.m., noon, 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. Games and activity stations will operate from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Admission is $3 for ages 3 and up; the MK Nature Center is closed to free admission on that day. Vendors will be on hand providing food and family-friendly beverages at the event.
