Canyon County Pet of the Week: Gecko the heeler mix

May 6, 2014

Gecko, 5, is a handsome Jack Russell terrier and heeler blend.

He would be a great candidate for agility or obedience training. His heeler side makes itself known by how smart he is. He is house-trained, leash-trained, gets along great with other canines and would do well in an active home that can keep his busy mind... well, extra busy. Gecko would do best in a home with children over 12. Gecko is neutered, microchipped and current on all vaccines.

Gecko is in Holding Area #2 at the Canyon County Animal Shelter, at 5801 Graye Lane in Caldwell. The hours of operation are Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. and closed on Sundays. For more information, visit www.canyoncountyshelter.org
