A 33-year-old Nampa man accused of attacking a hospital employee was booked into the Ada County Jail on a felony charge Saturday night, according to Meridian Police. The incident occurred at about 5:40 p.m. Saturday at St. Luke's Meridian Medical Center.

Jeremy Michael Stevenson was charged with aggravated assault.

Meridian Police Deputy Chief Tracy Basterrechea said Stevenson grabbed a nurse by the neck and forced her to the ground. Stevenson was being treated at the hospital at the time of the alleged attack, Basterrechea said.

Hospital staff subdued Stevenson until police arrived. Basterrechea did not know what caused the large cut on Stevenson's face but it was there before police came on the scene.
