The Idaho Gives website will continue to update totals and news of special bonus awards throughout the evening and into the night Thursday.

Donors had already surpassed the 2013 total of $578,735 by 6 p.m. Thursday with a tally of $590,647 — with six hours of giving still on the clock.

Idaho Gives divides nonprofits into small, medium and large categories. Organizations compete for a variety of cash prizes against groups of similar size. As of early evening on Thursday, the Interfaith Caregivers of the Magic Valley was in the lead for small nonprofits with $8,336 in donations. Boise Bicycle Project was in the lead for medium nonprofits with $9,095 in donations. In the large nonprofit category, the Peregrine Fund was in the lead with $18,345.

Totals are updated every 15 to 20 minutes, so log on and keep track... and make those last-minute donations.
