Letter: BLM vs. Bundy

May 1, 2014

I do not consent to the way the federal authorities exercised their authority over Mr. Bundy, the public, the press and even over the cows and calves recently in Nevada.

Government employees, either federal or even city in Filer, are becoming more confident that they have absolute power over their subjects. Arrogant power with no limits and no consequences, power that is not to be challenged or questioned. Everyone in American government should remind themselves daily that the only government power in America comes with the consent of the people. The people's demonstration in Nevada was the correct way to show the government employees that there are indeed many eager and willing true Americans that will stand up against those employees who have anointed themselves masters without the consent of the governed.
