Idaho wide receiver arrested on DUI charge

PULLMAN, Wash. - Senior Dezmon Epps, the Vandals' leading receiver last year, was arrested early Sunday morning for driving under the influence, according to Pullman police.

"I am aware of the situation involving Dezmon Epps and I am disappointed in his actions,'' coach Paul Petrino said in a statement. "I will review the matter and it will be handled swiftly and decisively. Our student-athletes will understand that there will be discipline in our program. They will learn the responsibility they have in representing themselves, the football program and the University of Idaho in the right manner. We will hold our student-athletes accountable for their actions at all times as character and integrity will always be a priority in our program. We will learn just as many life lessons through our failures as we will through our successes.''

Epps had 79 catches for 980 yards and four touchdowns in 2013, his first season in the Idaho program. He transferred from City College of San Francisco.
