Boise had a cool, wet and windy weekend, with highs that never made it out of the 50s. That's about 10 degrees below normal. Wind gusts to 28 mph were recorded at the Boise Airport Sunday afternoon.
National Weather Service Meteorologist Valerie Mills said snow was falling in McCall Sunday afternoon, and an inch or two could fall in the Boise Mountains Sunday night and Monday morning.
Temperatures will drop into the 30s on Monday and Tuesday morning but a warmup is on the way. By next weekend, we'll be about 8 degrees above normal.
"The look-ahead is amazing, if you like warm, dry weather," Mills said.
Temperatures will be back in the 60s on Tuesday and 70s on Wednesday. Highs will be in upper 70s Thursday and Friday. Nampa, Marsing, Payette and Mountain Home may see highs that top 80 on Friday.
Nearly a quarter of an inch fell in Boise on Sunday. There's no rain in the forecast this week.
