Steelheads tie series with victory in Colorado

LOVELAND, Colo. — The Steelheads' first-round playoff series is assured of returning to Boise after Idaho defeated the Eagles 4-3 on Thursday night to tie the series 2-2. Gaelan Patterson and Rob Linsmayer each had a goal and an assist as four players scored goals for Idaho, which jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period and held off Colorado. Goalie Pat Nagle stopped 24 shots. Game 5 is Friday in Colorado, while Game 6 is Monday at CenturyLink Arena.
