Idaho colleges roundup: Boise State women's golf sets record at MW tourney

RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. — The Broncos are within three strokes of tournament leader San Diego State after shooting an 8-over 296 Thursday at the Mountain West tournament. BSU sits in fourth place after setting the school's single-round scoring record at a conference championship. Oceane Pelloille led BSU with an even-par 72 and is tied for sixth place. Genevieve Ling and Samantha Martin each shot 74 and are tied for 12th heading into Friday's second round.

BSU MEN'S TENNIS: The Broncos beat Utah State 4-0 in the quarterfinals of the MW tournament in Fresno, Calif. BSU will face Nevada in Saturday's semifinals.

COLLEGE OF IDAHO TRACK & FIELD: Defending champions Austin Basterrachea and Jasmine Hurd lead after Day 1 of the Cascade Conference Multi-Championships in Gresham, Ore. Basterrachea won three of five events (3,448 points), while Hurd won two (2,647).

NORTHWEST NAZARENE BASEBALL: The Crusaders rallied from a 6-0 deficit to defeat No. 3 Lewis-Clark State 11-10 in Nampa despite giving up 15 hits and four home runs.

NNU GOLF: Nick Hardy is a first team All-GNAC selection, Connor Magnuson was named to the second team and Craig Stensgaard is co-coach of the year.
