— Boise police on Wednesday arrested Jared Swets, 24, on a $1 million warrant out of South Dakota. He is accused of kidnapping his child, of whom he does not have custody.

Sioux Falls Police Department asked Boise Police Department to look for Swets in the Overland and Cole roads area. A Boise police officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle in the area about 7:30 p.m. and arrested Swets without incident.

Police also arrested Tabitha Lancaster, 26, who was with Swets, and charged her with accessory to kidnapping.

The child was located safe inside the vehicle. Officers turned the child over to the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare while waiting for family to arrive to take over custody.
