Burglars hit Boise home while family is at hospital

April 22, 2014

Boise police are searching for suspects in a home burglary that occurred while the victim and the victim's family were at the hospital for a medical emergency.

Family members told police they returned to the home near West Edna Drive and North Cloverdale Road about 11:30 a.m. Sunday, April 13, and immediately noticed items were out of place. The thief or thieves likely entered the home sometime after 7:30 Saturday evening or early Sunday morning, police report.

Items taken include military medals, medications, a wallet containing credit cards and cash, sheets and blankets, a digital camera, a Social Security card, cufflinks and other jewelry.

On Tuesday, police distributed photos of people who may have used the stolen credit cards, hoping that someone will recognize them and call police. Officers would like to talk to those people about the crime.

The people who used the stolen credit cards were seen driving a newer, dark, full-size sedan, possibly a Nissan or Toyota.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS, or log onto www.343cops.com, or text CRIMES or 274637, subject: Tip236.
