New Plymouth man injured after fertilizer truck topples

Johnathan Phillips, 18, was headed south on U.S. Highway 30 south of New Plymouth when his truck overturned as he turned left onto Idaho 72 shortly before 11 a.m. Saturday.

The two highways were blocked for more than three hours as crews worked to remove the truck and spilled fertilizer.

Phillips was taken by ambulance to St. Alphonsus Medical Center in Ontario, Ore.

The Idaho State Police is investigating the mishap.
