Chobani adds dessert, full-fat products to its lineup

Times-News (Twin Falls)April 18, 2014

Greek yogurt maker Chobani on Friday announced six new products slated to hit store shelves in June.

The company, which operates the world’s largest Greek yogurt plant in Twin Falls, has created a new line of yogurt products to be enjoyed beyond breakfast, according to a statement released Friday.

“We are creating new ways to enjoy Chobani’s delicious, nutritious, natural products throughout the day,” said Peter McGuinness, chief marketing officer.

The products include “Chobani Indulgent,” the brand’s first dessert product, and “Chobani Kitchen,” a full-fat dairy product for cooking or to be used as a substitute for sour cream. They also include “Chobani Greek Yogurt Oats,” a Greek yogurt mixed with fruit and whole grain steel-cut oats, and “Chobani Kids,” a high-protein snack with a “low sugar punch.”

The new line will be produced at Chobani’s plants in New York and Twin Falls, McGuinness told the Times-News.
