MARICOPA, Ariz. - Samantha Martin fired a final-round 1-under 71 to earn tri-medalist honors at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic at the Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club. Her three-round total of 1-under 215 is the second-lowest in school history. Martin also set the school record with a 4-under 68 in Monday's second round. The sophomore from Los Angeles won the Winthrop Intercollegiate earlier this season, and is the fourth player in school history to win multiple tournaments in a career, and the third to win multiple times in the same season. The Broncos (901) finished tied for third in the team race with Tulsa, and behind New Mexico State (887) and Santa Clara (896).
BSU MEN'S GOLF: The Broncos finished 13th at the Redhawk Invitational at Chambers Bay in Washington. Boise State was led by senior Jordan Skyles (Eagle High) and freshman David Elliott (Cole Valley Christian High), who each finished five strokes back of the top 25 with a three-round total of 221 (+10).
COLLEGE OF IDAHO WOMEN'S GOLF: Senior Baylee Borchers (Mountain View High) shot a final-round 80 to earn medalist honors at the Northwest Christian Invitational at Springfield (Ore.) Country Club. The win was Borchers' third of the season and pulled her into second place in the Cascade Conference individual standings. The Coyotes (1,022) finished second to Concordia (949).
C OF I MEN'S GOLF: Senior Kyle DeLorey (Timberline High) carded his third straight 2-over 74 to finish sixth at the Northwest Christian Invitational. The Coyotes also finished sixth.
LEWIS-CLARK STATE BASEBALL: The Warriors (28-5), on a 10-game winning streak, are ranked No. 2 in this week's NAIA Coaches' Top 25 poll. LCSC is 10 points behind No. 1 Oklahoma Baptist.
