UPDATE: No evidence of arson in fire that destroyed three semi trucks in Star

newsroom@idahostatesman.comApril 8, 2014

An overnight fire at a construction site in Star that destroyed three semi trucks and badly damaged a fourth truck appears to have been caused by an electrical problem, according to the Ada County Sheriff's Office.

Investigators determined that the fire started in the cab of one of the trucks and spread from there. They have found no evidence of arson.

At 11:44 p.m., firefighters were called to the fire on South Seneca Springs Way. Star, Eagle, and Meridian fire crews fought the blaze.

Investigators were at the scene all night and are expected to be there much of Tuesday.
