Letter: Don't blame liberals

April 7, 2014

Dano, do not read this.

This country has been in the well-funded, firm grip of a conservative movement for over 30 years.

It wasn't the liberals that started the war on drugs in the early '80s and turned the "land of the free" into the country of the incarcerated. What a waste of lives and money.

It isn't the liberals that promote, start and maintain the ongoing, never-ending wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. What a waste of lives and money.

It isn't the liberals that started the war on the working class, unions and wages. Drive down the earning power. Send the jobs overseas. Don't want the workers to have any power.

It wasn't the liberals that continue to help the rich get richer and corporations get bigger.

Now we are $17 trillion in debt and the rich are $17 trillion richer.

The liberals need to stop the wars, let nonviolent inmates out of prison and put all those men to work on our infrastructure.
