Steelheads top Eagles in shootout

William Rapuzzi scored the lone goal in the shootout to give Idaho a 3-2 win over Colorado on Friday night at CenturyLink Arena. Rapuzzi improved to an ECHL-best 7-for-9 in shootouts this season.

Goalie Josh Robinson stopped 37-of-39 shots in live play, then turned aside all five shooters in the shootout to give the Steelheads their fourth straight victory.

Luke Judson and Gaelan Patterson scored in regulation for the Steelheads (37-25-7), who extended their lead over Colorado in the race for home-ice advantage in the first round of the Kelly Cup playoffs.

The two teams face off again at 7:10 p.m. Saturday in the regular-season home final at CenturyLink Arena.
