Motorcyclist struck by SUV on Monday dies

This motorcycle-SUV crash on Overland Road on Monday hospitalized the motorcyclist with serious injuries. On Friday, Boise police said the man died of those injuries.


Steven P. Moore, 33, of Boise died from blunt force trauma, Robert Karinen, forensic supervisor at the Ada County Coroner's Office, said in a report issued Friday morning.

Moore, who was not wearing a helmet, was traveling west on Overland Road at 11:51 a.m. Monday just west of Curtis Road when he was hit by an SUV heading east and turning left onto Biggs Street.

Moore was taken to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, where he died late Wednesday morning.

The case is still under investigation. Police earlier asked for anyone who may have seen the crash to contact detectives at 570-6290.
